Founder & principal
Osama founded Skydouny in 2020 with a single intent: build the home you live in next, drawn from scratch, on one site at a time. Architect-trained and hands-on, he runs the studio from Pretoria with a small bench of trades who stay with a project from slab to handover.
Every commission is the principal's commission — Osama is on site every week, on every conversation with every family, and on every drawing that leaves the studio. The book is small on purpose. Three or four homes a year, no more.
Origins
Osama's training began in Alexandria, Egypt — where the discipline of drawing, the long apprenticeship of the architect, and a respect for craft were set. He carries that grounding into every Skydouny project, on every site in Pretoria East.
How we work
Architect, contractor, and project manager are the same team. One point of accountability from first sketch to final fix.

Open programme, open budget, open site. Daily photographs, weekly written reports, variations issued in writing before any work begins.
Our process
At Skydouny, each project begins with a clear understanding of the client's vision. From the initial consultation, our architects engage closely with the client to interpret their requirements, preferences, and lifestyle needs into a coherent design direction.
We then develop the architectural concepts and detailed plans, which are presented for review and refinement until the design fully aligns with the client's expectations.
Upon approval, we proceed with securing all necessary municipal permissions and technical approvals to ensure full compliance and a seamless execution process.
Construction then commences on site, progressing systematically from groundwork and structural works through to finishing and completion, executed with precision and attention to detail.
Throughout the project, Skydouny maintains structured communication and regular progress meetings with the client to ensure transparency and alignment at every stage.
The process concludes with the successful delivery and handover of a fully completed residence, distinguished by quality craftsmanship, refined detail, and faithful realisation of the client's vision.
